Over 2 dagen zullen wij Asturias verlaten en in Galicia aankomen! Wij hebben genoten van de Picos de Europa, de pitoreske kleine vissersdorpjes, de gaitas(doedelzakken), de sidra(appelcider) en het heerlijke eten in deze regio. Wat wij ons niet gerealiseerd hebben is dat de A van Asturias ook de A van Asfalt is. De camino hier is veelal asfalt. Dit jaar meer dan anders omdat het deel door de heuvels afgesloten is i.v.m. de bouw van de snelweg. Wij lopen dus met "lekkere" warme voeten:). Ik had niet verwacht dat de dag zou komen dat ik regen zou kunnen waarderen. Dat gebeurde vandaag dus!

En dos dias saliremos de Asturias para entrar en Galicia! Nos han encantado los Picos de Europa, los pequeños y pitorescos pueblos pesqueros, las gaitas, la sidra y la deliciosa comida en esta region. No nos habiamos realizado que la A de Asturias es tambien la A de Asfalto. El camino por aqui va muchisimo por carreteras de asfalto. Este año todavia mas pues la parte que va por el monte esta cortada por la construccion de la autopista. Asi que caminamos con los pies bien calentitos:). No esperaba que llegara el dia en el cual apreciaria la lluvia. Pues ese dia ha llegado hoy!        

In 2 days we will leave Asturias and enter Galicia! We have enjoyed the Picos de Europa, the lovely little fishermens villages, the gaitas (bagpipes), the sidra(apple cider) and the tasty food in this region. We didn't realise that the A from Asturias also stands for the A in Asphalt. The way here is quite often roads of asphalt. This year even more since the parts usually going through the hills are closed due to construction of a highway.

So we walk with "nice" warm feet. I thought this would never happen but today was the day I appreciated a rainy day!
