Wij hebben nu al 3 dagen in de Pyreneeën gelopen.De Tour was gisteren zo dichtbij dat de helicopters boven ons hoofd vlogen.Degene die de Tour volgen kunnen zich een beeld vormen van de bergetappes die wij dus ook moeten lopen.  Het is zwaar, het is zweten en het is afzien. Veel klimmen en dalen, omhoog en omlaag maar wat is het hier mooi! De eerste keer dat wij  de Pyreneeën zagen, zo'n drie dagen geleden, was echt zo'n wahauw moment:). Wij hadden niet verwacht nog veel wandelaars tegen te komen deze week maar niets is minder waar. Het is drukker dan ooit. Zeker hier in Ostabat waar een aantal wandelroutes bij elkaar komen. De refuge was vol toen wij vanmiddag aankomen. Het wordt ergens anders een bed zoeken. Morgen zullen wij afscheid nemen van het Franse deel van de route:'Adieu La France' 'Bienvenidos a España'.

Llevamos ya 3 dias caminando en los Pirineos. Ayer el Tour estaba tan cerca que veiamos los helicopteros. Los que seguis el Tour os podeis hacer una idea de las etapas de montaña que hacemos. . Es duro, es sudar y sufrir. Mucho subir y bajar, arriba y abajo, pero que bonito es por aqui! Ver los Pirineos por primera vez, hace unos tres dias, esa primera vista fue de verdad uno de esos whauw momentos:). Esta semana no esperabamos encontrar mucha mas gente en el camino pero es todo lo contrario, hay mas que nunca. Principalmente aqui en Ostabat en donde se juntan varias rutas. El albergue estaba lleno cuando llegamos esta tarde. Toca buscar cama en otro sitio. Mañana nos despediremos del camino en Francia: 'Adieu La France' 'Bienvenidos a España'.   

For 3 days we are walking in the Pyrenees. Yesterday we saw the Tour's helicopters, they are that close!

The ones who follow the Tour de France might get an idea about the mountain stages we have to walk. It's hard. It's sweating and it's suffering but it's so beautiful here!. To see the Pyrenees for the first time, about 3 days ago, that first view is really one of those whauw moments:) We didn't expect a lot of people on the way this week but on the contrary. There are more than ever. Specially here in Ostabat where several routes come together. There was no longer place at the refuge when we arrived this afternoon. So we needed to find a place somewhere else. Tomorow we will say goodbye to the French part of the camino:

Adieu La France' 'Bienvenidos a España'.
